ARTICLE 1. MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME PARKS

9-101.        Regulations.

All mobile homes and mobile homes parks are subject to the provisions of sections 19-216G and 19-216H of the Zoning and Subdivision Regulations, incorporated by reference in section 19-201 of this code.

9-102.        Anchoring.

(a)      From and after July 1, 1975, no new mobile home used as a dwelling, office or commercial space shall be utilized for such purpose unless the mobile home is secured to a permanent foundation or is ground-anchored within 30 days after it is first occupied.

(b)     The ground anchoring devise utilized for the purpose of anchoring the mobile home shall be approved by the city inspector and shall be of a type which is approved by the State of Kansas.

(c)      From and after January 1, 1976, all mobile units, both new and existing, which are used for dwellings, offices or commercial spaces and which are not secured to a permanent foundation shall be anchored by the owner or occupant with an anchoring devise as hereinbefore set forth.

(d)     No permit for the location of a mobile unit shall be issued by the city unless and until the applicant therefor shall have met the requirements of this article and such permit shall be approved by the city inspector.

(e)      Any owner or occupant of any mobile unit referred to herein who shall not comply with the foregoing regulations upon conviction shall be fined in an amount of not less than $25 nor more than $500.
