AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COURT COSTS FOR MUNICIPAL COURT CASES WITHIN THE CITY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SYLVIA, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.         Court costs shall be assessed in the amount of $50.00 for every Municipal Court case, other than parking violations, in which a person is found guilty, pleads guilty or pleads no contest and is found guilty.

SECTION 2.         This Ordinance is adopted by a minimum of two-thirds vote of the members of the governing body of the City of Sylvia, Kansas as an exercise of constitutional home rule power pursuant to K.S.A. 12-137.
